Mr. and Mrs. Gary Fischer of Leawood are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Kay Fischer, to Paul Burroughs Rainer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Rainer of Austin, Texas. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Connie Waide Allen of Perryton, Texas, and the late Dr. Eugene Waide and Mr. Eugene Fischer of Our Town and the late Mrs. Fischer. Erin is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. She earned a bachelor of human environmental science degree in textile and apparel management, merchandising and marketing from the University of Missouri. Erin is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and is careering with Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Texas.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Weaver and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mark Rainer. Paul is a graduate of Lake Highlands High School in Dallas. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in public relations from the University of Oklahoma. Paul is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and is employed with Ignite Partnership Advertising in Richardson, Texas. Theirs will be a September 26th wedding at St. John’s United Methodist Church.
