The Folds of Honor Kansas City Chapter – Freedom Isn’t Free Gala
The first annual Freedom Isn’t Free Gala took place on September 22nd at LiveStrong Sporting Park hosted by The Folds of Honor Kansas City Chapter. Major Dan Rooney founded The Folds of Honor Foundation to help ensure that no family is left behind in pursuit of freedom. Kansas City formed the first local affiliate chapter in 2011 to provide educational scholarships to local families of wounded and fallen soldiers. Nearly 600 guests attended this inaugural event, which raised funds for local military families. Ted McDonald served as chairman.
