Congratulations, Lauren & Alexander!

Mr. and Mrs. David Edward Williamson of Berea, Ohio, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Mary Williamson, to Alexander Lamonte Parker, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Geoffrey Sawyer Parker of Our Town. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Novak and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williamson. Lauren is a graduate of Berea High School in Berea, Ohio. She earned a bachelor of science degree in communication and a master of science degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Lauren is a member of Chi Omega sorority and is careering with Chicago Magazine.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lamonte Durbrow III and the late Mr. and Mrs. William James Parker. Alex is a graduate of The Pembroke Hill School. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from Miami University. Alex was a Jewel Ball escort in 2000. He is a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and is employed with The Chicago Tribune. Theirs will be a May 9th wedding at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in La Grange, Illinois.
