Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and the Kansas City Sports Commission – 42 Premiere

April 11th was the date Waddell & Reed hosted a star-studded screening of the film 42 at AMC BarryWoods 24. The evening benefited the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and the Kansas City Sports Commission. AMC Theatres graciously donated the space, theatre team, concessions, and spirits for the event, making it an evening to remember! Stars of the new film about the life of Jackie Robinson attended the event, including Harrison Ford, Chadwick Boseman, Andre Holland, and Derek Phillips. Several Kansas City Royals players also walked the red carpet. Following the movie, there was a special presentation of the “42” jersey and a panel discussion was moderated by Joe Posnanski.
