The Association of Fundraising Professionals GKC Chapter’s National Philanthropy Day Celebration
November 12th was the date for The Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Kansas City Chapter’s National Philanthropy Day Celebration virtual program. Honorees were congratulated for work done in their respective fields of non-profit fundraising. Included in the event were the following awards: Spirit of Philanthropy – Individual given to Marylou Turner and nominated by the UMKC Foundation; Spirit of Philanthropy – Business given to The Planned Approach and nominated by Operation Breakthrough; Spirit of Philanthropy – Youth given to Jack McGovern and nominated by Cornerstones of Care; Legacy Giving Partnership given to Pamela Miller and Michael Cummings and nominated by Children’s Mercy and The KU Endowment Association; and Excellence in Fundraising given to Robin Rowland and nominated by Wayside Waifs.
