Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Picow!
Jamie Lynn Thiessen and David Harkless Picow were married at the Pilgrim Chapel on July 5th. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary W. Hooton of Our Town and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Burns of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Jamie is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Thiessen of La Vista, Nebraska, and Mrs. Charlie Cramer of Belton, Missouri, and the late Mr. Cramer. Her groom is the son of Mrs. Charles L. Marcotte of Overland Park and the late Mr. Marcotte and Mr. and Mrs. Marshall S. Picow of Atlanta, Georgia. David is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Busler and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack M. Picow. Lynnly Marcotte and Susan and Marshall Picow hosted a rehearsal dinner on July 3rd at Cupini’s. A wedding reception was held at The Vox. Rachel Marcy was the matron of honor, and Stephanie Hooton was the maid of honor. Annie Hunter and Ilda Nóbrega were bridesmaids. Nathanael Peterson served as the best man. Nicholas Blount, Michael Marcy and Damon Schlichenmaier were groomsmen. Ian Wilson served as an usher. Hannah Hooton was the flower girl, and Rhys Wilson was the ring bearer. The happy couple honeymooned in Washington, D.C. and Chestertown, Maryland, and are at home in Kansas City, Kansas. Jamie is careering with Communities In Schools of Kansas, and David is a freelance broadcast video engineer.
