Congratulations, Lacey & Kevin!
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Fred Owen of Our Town are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lacey Kathleen Owen, to Kevin Douglas Maughan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Robert Maughan of Shawnee. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Francis McCord, Mrs. Edward Fred Owen of Omaha, Nebraska, and the late Mr. Owen. Lacey is a graduate of The Pembroke Hill School. She was a Jewel Ball debutante in 2003 and a BOTAR, class of 2007. Lacey earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism and advertising from The University of Kansas and received her master’s degree in elementary education from Rockhurst University. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and careers with Telluride Mountain School in Telluride, Colorado. Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Leonard Starkey of Fort Myers, Florida, and Mr. Robert Franklin Maughan of Our Town and the late Mrs. Maughan. Kevin is a graduate of Shawnee Mission South High School. He received a bachelor of arts degree in communications from The University of Kansas. Kevin was presented at the Junior League of Wyandotte and Johnson Counties Community Ball and Cotillion in 2000, and was a member of the Jewel Ball floor committee in 2003. He is a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and is employed by the Telluride Ski Resort. Theirs will be a June 8th wedding at Greyhead Property in Telluride.
