Congratulations, Courtney & Douglas!
Dr. and Mrs. Roger Paul Jackson of Our Town are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Courtney Brooke Jackson, to Douglas Joseph Beardsley, the son of Theresa Beardsley and Mr. Samuel C. Beardsley of Portland, Oregon. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Stevens and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul William Jackson. Courtney is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. She was presented at the Junior League of Johnson and Wyandotte Counties Community Ball and Cotillion in 1995. Courtney earned a bachelor of science degree in resource ecology management from the University of Michigan and a doctorate degree in naturopathic medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She is careering with the National College of Natural Medicine.
Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. Raymond Bazan of Woodbridge, Virginia, and the late Mrs. Bazan and Mrs. Richard Wade of Beaverton, Oregon and the late Mr. Samuel Beardsley. Doug is a graduate of Banks High School in Banks, Oregon. He earned a bachelor of science degree in biology from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in education from Portland State University. Doug is a teacher at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon. Theirs will be a July 15th wedding at Mt. Hood Organic Farms in Hood River, Oregon.
