Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Mullen!
Kathryn Anne Black and William Thomas Mullen III were married on August 20th at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. The bride is the daughter of Darcy Ann Howe and Mr. John Sheldon Black of Our Town. Katie is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Overlock Howe and the late Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Paul West Black. Her groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph John Mullen of Charlottesville, Virginia. Trip is the grandson of Mr. William Thomas Mullen, Jr. of Crozet, Virginia, and the late Mrs. Mullen and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wray Thomas, Jr.
The evening prior, the groom’s parents hosted a lovely rehearsal dinner in Kirkwood Hall at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, followed by a welcome party in the Bloch Building. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a beautiful reception at The Kansas City Country Club with an after party by the pool. The happy couple enjoyed a honeymoon to the French Riviera and Italy’s Amalfi Coast and is at home in Washington, D.C. Katie careers with Booz Allen Hamilton and Trip is employed with Trident Maritime Systems.
