Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. James Barnes!
Reagan Marlene Kerr and James Grant Barnes were married on August 4th in Charlottesville,Virginia. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hunter Snell of Charlottesville and Mr. Everett Gibson Kerr of Our Town. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Wilkie Wood of Charlottesville and Mr. and Mrs. Whitney Edward Kerr of Prairie Village. Her groom is the son of Judy Lee Esau of Charlottesville and Mr. and Mrs. James Martin Barnes of Durham, North Carolina. He is the grandson of Shelby Jeanette Frye of Durham, Mr. James Carlton Barnes of Durham, the late Mary Frances Esau, and the late Mr. William John Esau.
On the evening prior, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Keswick Hunt Club. Following the ceremony at Grace Episcopal Church, Reagan’s parents hosted a lovely reception at the Snell’s home. Erin Gibson Kerr, sister of the bride; served as the maid of honor. Anne Elizabeth Kerr, sister of the bride; Marguerite Nicole Barnes, sister of the groom; Catherine Hunter Snell, step-sister of the bride; Virginia Elizabeth McAlister, Elizabeth Krausnick Malmo, Julie Bartlett Sanders, and Mary Frances Weatherly were bridesmaids. The best men were Jonathan Roy Price, Jr., and Thomas Benjamin Price III. Campbell Gibson Kerr, brother of the bride; Charles Michael Eberly, Gregory Dean Goodson, Robert Bryson Pike II and Luke William Wilson were groomsmen. The happy couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and are at home in Swansboro, North Carolina. Reagan is careering with Kristin Newman Designs, and James is an Infantry Officer with the United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
