Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Clark!
Katherine Therese Schilling and Christian Joseph Clark were married on July 19th at Visitation Church. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas John Schilling of Overland Park. Katherine is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Miller of Our Town and Mr. and Mrs. George Schilling of South Bend, Indiana. Her groom is the son of Mrs. Joseph A. Clark III of Ridgewood, New Jersey, and the late Mr. Clark. Christian is the grandson of Eileen Burke of Yaphank, New York, the late Mr. Joseph Burke and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Clark, Jr. The day before the wedding, the groom’s mother hosted a rehearsal luncheon at Webster House. The InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza was the site for a Friday evening welcome dinner on the rooftop for out-of-town guests hosted by the groom’s mother and a beautiful wedding reception in the Alameda Ballroom hosted by the parents of the bride.
Michelle Miller, aunt of the bride; Megan Schilling, sister of the bride; and Nicholas Schilling, brother of the bride; were soloists. The couple’s first dance was the Austrian folk dance from The Sound of Music. The out of town guests enjoyed a special brunch and dinner on Sunday at the beautiful home of the bride’s parents. Megan Schilling, sister of the bride; was the maid of honor, and Tom Neumeier served as the best man. Patrick Schilling, Nicholas Schilling, Jr., and Christopher Schilling, brothers of the bride; were groomsmen. The happy couple enjoyed a honeymoon to Italy and are at home in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Katherine is careering with IBM, and Christian is in his second year at Harvard Law School.
