Congratulations Mollie and Brian!
Mr. and Mrs. Don Christopher Black of Prairie Village are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary “Mollie” Newman Black, to Brian Joseph Bechtold, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bechtold of Springfield, Missouri. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Angus McCallum and the late Mr. and Mrs. Don A. Black. Mollie is a graduate of Accelerated Schools of Overland Park. She graduated summa cum laude from Rockhurst University with a bachelor of arts degree in industrial relations. Mollie graduated summa cum laude from Avila University with a master of science degree in organizational development. She was a Jewel Ball debutante in 2000, and is a BOTAR, class of 2003.
Her groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pursell and the late Mr. and Mrs. Max Bechtold. Brian is a graduate of Springfield Catholic High School in Springfield, Missouri. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. Brian is employed by Cerner. Theirs will be a November 30th wedding at Mission Hills Country Club.
