Debbie Sosland-Edelman and Mr. Alan Seth Edelman of Leawood are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Kate Edelman, to Ari Joshua Fine, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Fine of Saratoga, California. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neil N. Sosland of Our Town, Dr. and Mrs. William Edelman of Overland Park and the late Doris T. Edelman. Katja is a graduate of the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Columbia University. Katja was a Jewel Ball debutante in 2008. She is employed with Fairygodboss in New York City.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Peggy and Doc Giraudo of San Jose, California, Don Halstead of San Carlos, California, Shirley Fine of Discovery Bay, California, and Bill Fine of San Diego, California. Ari is a graduate of Lynbrook High School in Saratoga, California. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Columbia University. Ari is employed with Kerio Technologies in San Jose, California. Theirs will be a June 14th wedding at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
