Congratulations, Emily & Jonathan!
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Lee Rappold of Prairie Village are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Gwen Rappold, to Jonathan Atlee Gafford, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Gerald Blackwell of Lewisburg, Kentucky, and the late Mr. Jeffrey Adam Gafford. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lee Curtis of Our Town and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rappold of Merriam. Emily is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in apparel studies from the University of Arkansas. Emily is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and is careering with Taylor Farms in Nashville, Tennessee.
Her groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Dow Self and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Gafford. Jonathan is a graduate of Logan County High School in Lewisburg, Kentucky. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science and economics and a master of arts degree in economics from Western Kentucky University. Jonathan is a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and is an economics instructor at Columbia State Community College in Nashville. Theirs will be a June 29th wedding at Village Presbyterian Church.
