Congratulations, McKenzie & Riley!

Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Joseph Burns of Village of Loch Lloyd, Missouri, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, McKenzie Rose Burns, to Riley James Shirk, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Lynn Shirk of Rogersville, Missouri. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Vera Quiroz Clarke and the late Mr. Lupe Alvarez, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Donald Burns. McKenzie is a graduate of St. Teresa’s Academy. She earned a bachelor of science degree in human environmental sciences and architectural studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia. A member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, McKenzie is employed with Pulse Design Group in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Dallis McMillan of Springfield, Missouri, and Mrs. Ernest Fredrick Shirk of Belton, Missouri, and the late Mr. Shirk. He is the step-grandson of Judith Ann Cassidy of Springfield, Missouri. Riley is a graduate of Logan Rogersville High School in Rogersville, Missouri. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. A member of Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, he is employed with Amazon in Liberty, Missouri. Riley is a member of the Missouri Army National Guard and is currently in Officer Candidate Training. He will graduate in July 2023. Theirs will be a September 9th wedding at White Iron Ridge in Smithville, Missouri.
