Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Bruning!
Blair Stewart Thompson and William Quigley Lucas Bruning were married on September 10th at the bride’s family home oceanside at Cedar Oaks in Bremen, Maine. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Painter Thompson of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Blair is the granddaughter of Susan Clancy of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, the late Mr. John Preston Levis, Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Thompson, Sr. Her groom is the son of Daphne Nan Muchnic and William Lucas Bruning of Our Town. Quig is the grandson of Mrs. Herbert Irving Bruning of Overland Park and the late Dr. Bruning, the late Daphne Davis Oppenheimer and the late Mr. William Henry Muchnic.
Nan Muchnic, Bill Bruning, Dr. Richard Fox, and Margot and Ned Thompson hosted a lovely rehearsal dinner on September 8th. A welcome reception was given by Nan Muchnic, Bill Bruning and Dr. Richard Fox on September 9th. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a beautiful wedding reception at their home. Alysa Crellin served as the maid of honor. Charlie Thompson and Preston Thompson, brothers of the bride; served as the men of honor. Jessie Thompson, Danielle Thompson and Ashley Trainor were bridesmaids. Dr. Richard Fox served as the best man. Hannah Adams, sister of the groom; served as the best woman. A.J. LeGaye, Shepard Washburn, Dan Schneider, and Greg Kreischer were groomsmen. Natalia Muchnic, Willow Muchnic, Juniper Trainor, and Josephine Thompson were the flower girls. Neil Khare, Jon Moss and Bennett Albertson were ushers. Charlotte Kemper did a reading in French and English, and Nani Phillips did an additional reading. The happy couple is looking forward to a honeymoon at the Mayakoba Resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. They are at home in New York, New York, where Blair and Quig are careering with Sotheby’s.
