Congratulations, Maigan and Hayes!
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Kenneth Shanks of Delano, Tennessee, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Maigan Kathleen Shanks, to Hayes Edward Thompson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Webster Townley Thompson of Mission Hills, Kansas. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Albert William Watkins and the late Mr. Watkins, and Mrs. Kenneth William Shanks and the late Mr. Shanks. Maigan is a graduate of McMinn Central High School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Vanderbilt University. Maigan is a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and is careering with Service Source in Nashville, Tennessee.
Her groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward G. Farmer, Jr. and Mrs. Prudence Townley Thompson of Mission Hills and the late Mr. Hoyt Hayes Thompson. Hayes is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from The University of Kansas. He was a member of the Jewel Ball Floor Committee as well as an Escort in 2003, and was a BOTAR escort in 2006. Hayes is a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and is careering with Service Source in Nashville, Tennessee. Theirs will be an October 20th wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shanks in Delano, Tennessee.
