Binny Pearce
Having worked as a high school teacher, assistant principal and principal, Binny Pearce knew she was not able to sit home after she retired. Beth Liebling, granddaughter of the City Union Mission founder, Reverend David Bulkley, and daughter of the director, Reverend Daniel J. Doty, was in a Sunday School class that Binny taught. Beth approached Binny and asked if she would be interested in serving on the City Union Mission’s board of directors. For 13 years, Binny has taught the long-term programs in both shelters. She also has helped with the Women Who Changed the Heart of the City luncheon.
