KCares for Kids Walk – Jaszianne Tolbert
“More than half of the 17-member KCares for Kids Walk planning committee includes Children’s Mercy employees who are volunteering their time to support the cause. That speaks volumes about our organization’s passion behind our patients. Each child’s success is my personal goal. I know so many people here feel the same way. We had a saying in my household growing up: ‘To whom much is given, much is required.’ My grandmother, who helped raise me, was fond of reminding me of this. It’s a mantra I take to heart. Honestly, I have always loved doing community service and helping others. When I graduated from residency, my program director said I had a knack for leaving a place better than I found it. That’s a great compliment, but also how I hope to always live my life – making a difference!”
