Congratulations, Lynn & David!

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Whitcomb McGregor of Madison, Connecticut, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lynn Marie McGregor, to David Bainbridge Lyons, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William McClellan Lyons of Our Town. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter James Lordo and the late Mr. and Mrs. John R. McGregor. Lynn graduated as valedictorian of Guilford High School in Guilford, Connecticut. She received a bachelor of science degree with honors in chemistry from Yale University. Lynn will complete a doctoral degree in chemical biology at Harvard University in May.

Her groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Henry Sharpe Bunting of Kansas City and the late Mr. Bunting and Mr. Robert Paul Lyons of Kansas City and the late Mrs. Lyons. David graduated from The Pembroke Hill School. He was a Jewel Ball floor committee member in 2005. David earned a bachelor of arts degree in history and international studies from Yale University. He will receive a juris doctor from Columbia University in May. The couple plan to settle in the San Francisco area, where David will begin his legal career with the Paul Hastings Law Firm, and Lynn will pursue postdoctoral studies in biomedical research. Theirs will be an August 9th wedding in New Haven, Connecticut.
