The Belles of the American Royal – Margaret McKee Burditt
The Belles of the American Royal are pleased to announce the selection of Margaret McKee Burditt as the 2019 BOTAR president. Mandy is a BOTAR, class of 1991, and was a BOTAR Page in 1978. Her leadership roles in BOTAR include recording secretary in 2006, and BOTAR Ball vice president in 2015, as well as benefactor co-chairman and reservations chairman. Mandy and her mother served as Presidents’ Tea co-chairmen together. Her other civic activities include serving on the parents’ guild board of St. Paul’s Episcopal Day School and the parents’ association of The Pembroke Hill School. She was co-chairman of Pawtini for Great Plains SPCA in 2017, and she has been active in Jazzoo.
Mandy is the daughter of Pamela Fogel McKee, who is a BOTAR, class of 1964, and was president in 1986, and the late Ira William McKee, Jr. Mandy is a graduate of The Pembroke Hill School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in sociology and business from William Woods University. Mandy is married to Scott Burditt, and they are the parents of Meg, age 20, who was a BOTAR Page in 2008, and Peter, age 17.
The 70th BOTAR Ball will be held on October 19th at the Muehlebach Tower of the Kansas City Marriott Downtown.
